Fenway Park’s Rooftop Vegetable Garden – Fenway Farms
I walked out of the WEEI radio suite at Fenway and boom, there’s a farm on the roof! Will it lower ticket prices? No. But, you guessed that already. There’s now a rooftop farm at America’s oldest MLB ballpark. To those who say it’s a silly idea and to “leaf” the roof alone, I disagree. What could it hurt? More green is good. The claims in the public relations literature about the garden helping world sustainability and lowering energy costs by insulating the building below it are ridiculous. We are talking about a very small rooftop garden at a baseball STADIUM. It’s still a cool idea and I’m glad to see it here. Bravo to the creator, Linda Pizzuti Henry.
