We’re not saying anything is a ripoff. We’re just pointing out how elements of songs can be very similar.  This time I’m showing you the first few measures of Sublime’s “What I Got” from 1996. Then I’ll play a few measures of the Beatles’ “Lady Madonna” from 1968.
